My time at CCA has been an exciting blend of growth, challenges, and incredible opportunities. Each step has brought new insights and experiences. Reflecting on my path, I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned and eagerly await the future.
A wise woman once said, "You're not lucky to be at the party; the party is lucky to have you." - Paris Hilton.
I think that this quote touches on themes like learning from successful people, managing public perception, persevering through doubters, and maintaining confidence. These are all valuable mindsets for a career in the fast-paced public relations industry.
Someone that I have always looked up to is Kris Jenner; her wisdom also resonates with me deeply. In her book “Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian”, Kris gives the reader insight into how she got to where she is today.
One thing that she said that has really stuck with me was, "You are going to meet the same people on the way down as you did on the way up. So be grateful and humble for the blessings that have been given to you.".
This piece of advice emphasizes the importance of maintaining integrity and humility in
all professional interactions. The PR industry is built on relationships and reputation,
and I aim to foster positive connections and remain grounded, no matter how high I
climb.
I also have found inspiration in an irregular place. One of my favorite shows is Sex and the City. My favorite character is Samantha Jones, she is a PR powerhouse and has
confidence that is unmatched. She is an expert communicator who knows exactly what
to say. To me, she is an excellent role model, and surprisingly there is a lot to learn from her
character. Samantha’s boldness and strategic thinking in navigating the PR world are
traits I aspire to embody in my own career.
My journey as a PR student has taught me to value every experience, to be confident in
my abilities, and to remain humble and grateful.
As I approach the end of my academic journey, I am filled with anticipation and
optimism. The experiences I’ve had and the knowledge I’ve gained have prepared me to tackle the challenges ahead. Graduation is not just an end but a new beginning, a launchpad into a career where I can make a significant impact.
With a clear vision for my future and a commitment to continuous growth, I am ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. The best is yet to come, and I am excited to see where this path will take me.
